| I used this route a few years ago. M-52 has a large paved shoulder! M-43 (Gd. River) was fine. The only bad part is a stretch of N. Territorial Road. Be conscious of blind spots when going around curves/hills. Go against traffic when traffic coming from behind can't see you. |

| The hill is steeper heading eastward than westward. You can go back and forth over it for a great workout. Taking Barry Rd. from the east to west is a good challenging series of 3-4 hills w/ false tops to make it interesting (especially for those new to the route). 40 mph is attainable heading westward down the highest hill (just west of Clearview Orchard) with a big enough gear and ambition! |
