| Escape From Alvchurch to Maxstoke not in keeping with quality of rest of route. Also, entry to Barston from A road very dodgy road at times. Unless its resurfaced soon an alternative route may be found - road through balsall heath to knowle generally good, but lacks the bulls head at barston - cracking refreshment stop. |

| A friend told me that the canal underneath the M6 "Spaghetti Junction" was well worth a visit, so I went to see for myself. I avoided the canal towpath at the beginning of the ride, as the surface is awful. Intended to continue on the canal to Fazeley, and then back to Aldridge via Hints and Stonnall, but time was short, so I took the "Escape Road" through Sutton Coldfield. Next time . . . . . |

| This route was recommended to me as a 60 miler by a cycling buddy. His route took a more direct line from Sheepy Magna to Mancetter - I added the diversion to Sibson & Shenton to bump the distance up to 70 miles . . . . |
