| This day’s riding is pleasant, but it you’ll be in the shadow of I-70 most of the day – the exception being between Boonsboro and Columbia where the two highways diverge. The terrain is moderately hilly. The route also crosses the KATY rails-to-trail bike path, which could be an alternate route to Saint Charles. If you follow this itinerary, you do so at your own risk. Failure to exercise good judgment can result in traffic violation citations, injury and even death.
