This is the main Willy Warmer route and goes directly to Pangbourne via Marlow and Henley. This is most suitable in poor weather conditions and for those riders who want to get home before dark. With an early start you will be past Henley before the shoppers are out in force. After Pangbourne we’re off across rolling downland via Peasemore to Hungerford for some lunch, and a dash for home via Kingsclere and Bramley before a final pit-stop at Winnersh. You’ll find that all the hard work has been done, as the second half of the of route is reasonably flat – virtually downhill from Kingsclere to Maidenhead! – apart from the final climb up to Chalfont St Peter.

The Scenic Route includes a section of rolling scenic country lanes which bypass Marlow and Henley. This route is suitable for stronger riders on warmer days with no risk of ice. Riders should allow an additional 6km and 30~60 minutes overall compared to the direct route. No additional time is allowed for this on the Audax event.
