There is no sidewalk on Duck Pond Road, so the path from Oak Lane to campus through the Duck Pond area is the best way for pedestrians and bikes to get to central campus. This trail ties into the route to Foxridge (at Smithfield Road) as well.

This route is for folks who would prefer to not ride on the roads. Remember that Bburg ordinance prohibits bikes from the sidewalks downtown, but you can ride on the sidewalks in most neighborhoods. If riding on the sidewalk, you MUST yield to all pedestrians or walk your bike if conditions would make that a safer option. It is encouraged that cyclists dismount when using crosswalks. Consider taking the bike lane route from campus to the Empo, or taking a mix of these two routes to get there quickly, safely, and comfortably.
