Basically we went from Cardiff, Dinas Powys, Past Cardiff Airport, St Athan, Llantwit Major (went to the beach and had a banana), then past Wick and on to Southerdown (had lunch on beach and beer in pub). Then... Back the way we came as far as St Athan, turn left just after towards Llancadle, Walterston, St Lythan's. Hit the evil Culverhouse Cross roundabout then take Cowbridge Rd back into Cardiff.
Cardiff, Llantrisant, Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Cardiff spillerboy Sep 8th 2008, 04:39 51.6km
Pretty nice ride. Wizz out of Cardiff town centre. Some nice ups and downs on Llantrisant Rd, tough little climb to Old Llantrisant, nice (mostly downhill) zoom to Ponty. Briefly use the Taff Trail (not the A470 as on the map) until you hit the A468 into Caerphilly. Up Caerphilly Mountain (toughest climb of the ride) then fly down the A469 back to Cardiff.
