| Part Transpennine trail - slight up hill climb and main roads. A good ride - can be done within an hour and useful for a casual ride or even time-trial. Parking nearby makes it accessible. My record is 47 mins.
Start at the car park next to the Transpennine Trail in Broadheath. Continue on the trail for approx 3 miles until the trail breaks by the railway pub. Turn left and follow the road for approx 1.5 miles to the top of the hill by the Jolly Thresher pub. Turn right and follow the main road for 2.5 miles past Lymm reservoir and then turn right down Eagle Brow Road into Lymm centre. Continue past Lymm and on the main road for approx 2 miles until you reach the Cycle shop on the left. Turn right onto the path and follow through the trees until you come out by the Railway pub and rejoin the route. From here, it's 3 miles back to the start/finish and the carpark. |
