Start from the river plain down near the A40, travelling clockwise. This 50 mile loop will introduce you to some long climbs up big hills as you clamber on to the Brecons, taking in fantastic vistas on sunny days. Then drop down to Crickhowell and follow tight lanes with sharp corners and power climbs past fields of pasture, punctuated by farmsteads and mature hedgerow trees.
