Garmin did not acquire satellites... so back to drawing the route..... and this was a run... not a bike ride. Have only seen 2 bike riders in HK (at the top of the peak and was a bit jealous about this)

THis is a loop that follows the Dirtworks track from St Albans to the End of Shepherds Gully. The start of the ride is 25ish kms of flatish road riding from Wisemans to St ALbans (& then Wrights Creek) thereby making sure it starts and ends at Wisemans. You could take 20 (ish) kms out of it and not ride through St Albans, by heading to Wrights Creek via Settlers Road from Wisemans. You could also add another 15 kms by turning left before Clares Bridge and riding to Upper Mangrove -- See http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Wisemans-Ferry-to-Mangrove-Mountain

This is a regular training loop. This particular loop does not really have a road bike in mind -- especially the visit to Monster X jump park. It does focus on as much off road bike track and low traffic routes. It is easy to extend (head to Parramatta Park and return via M4 bike path to Newington. Or ride more around Newington, Breakfast Point, etc). The return at the end through Five Dock could be optimised (towards the end I am not thinking so much about avoiding major roads and taking the scenic path)

Follows bike paths as much as they exist on northern side of Parramatta River and then cuts up to North Rocks via Bettington Road (not much thought given to hills or traffics in this last leg). Not planned as a road bike route.
