You can park your car at Ozzero. Follow the road crossing the SS494 and follow the red 'E1' signs onto a long single track route throught the countryside. You then follow the canal to Abbiategrasso and onto Cassinetta di Lugagnano and follow the canal: Naviglio Grande to Turbigo. You will follow the river Ticino alternating between the canal and the river. Sesto Calende is a tourist spot and a great place to take lunch, full of cafes and bars by the river. Then you simply turnaround and ride all the long way way back! There is a sharp climb after Turbigo, you have been warned, but otherwsie a flat and easy ride.

Leave Como following signs to Moltrasio and keep riding to Argegno where you turn left. Keep riding where you will see signs to CH. The hills are steep but not too bad. Take your passport as you will cross into CH at the top of this climb. You descend very fast (its steep) towards Maroggia. Take the main road towards Mendrisio / Chiasso / Como wehre you will go back over the border to Italy. Stunning views, great ride.

Tough ride but worth it! Leave Varzi and head out towards Passo del Penice. At the bridge where the road forks follow the signs to Penice / Bobbio. You start to climb here. This climb is more challenging than it appears as it get steeper the higher you climb. Towards the top there is a water fountain in the forest by the road. At the top you can see a ski slope and stunning views across the valley towards Varzi. can be cool. Descend back to Varzi and after 5 kms take a left turn to Passo Del Brallo. This is a fantastic road not steep but great views all the way. Brallo is a tourist location with cafes and places to eat. Descend back to Varzi, the descent has lots of bends and is nice and easy all the way. You can do this route that other way around where the descents are very, very fast from Penice to Varzi. This area is relatively undiscovered and is a biking paradise. Enjoy!

A very nice ride. You turn left off the SS461 towards the Nizza Valley. After a steady incline you take a right turn towards Varzi. The climbs start here. Very steep in places but worth the effort! You will rise and see stunning views before you. At the top the views are breathtaking across the valley. The descent is awesome with high speeds possible. Varzi is often overlooked but a beautiful place to visit famous for cheese, wine and salami. Take the SS461 back towards Voghera and this road declines al the way making for a nice descent back to your car.

This route follows the River Ticino from Pavia to Vigevano and back. Mainly offroad and singletrack. The river is beautiful blue in colour and fast flowing. Tricky at Ponte del Barche (bridge of boats). You take the trail by the bridge and follow the river. Mostly wooded and not difficult. Usually a very fast ride. You join the main road at Vigevano and go over the river heading towards Milano. Take the first right to Ozzero then turn left at the junction to Pavia on the SS526. At Besate take the right onto the trails again along the Ticino river to Zelata. Head into Bereguardo and then follows the brown signs to the river Ticino. Go back over the bridge of boats and take the same trail back to Pavia. This route is really nice in good weather and can be a bit challenging in places, if it has rained. Another stunning ride mainly offroad.

You can park your car at Ozzero. When arriving at the SS 494, go right at the traffic lights, then immedaitely left following the red 'E1' signs. Its single track offroad until Abbiategrasso. Ride to Cassinetta di Lugagnano and the canal. Just keep folowing the canal all the time towards Turbigo. You will see a large refinery. At that bridge go left and go offroad. the trails take you back onto the Ticino river and great single track ride with some challenges along the way. You get back to the canal and head back to Ozzero. No hills but a nice fast ride with some tricky bits.

Nice ride with stunning views across beautiful valleys. You leave Casteggio which is a small provincial town with a nice central square and start climbing. There are two long hills. The first climb is harder. Montalto Pavese has a great restaurant which is well known. You leave Montalto Pavese and turn left up a steep climb which leads to Madonna del Vento. This place has cool winds in summer and a panoramic view, it is also sacred. You descend back onto the main road and descend towards Broni. Fast descent and with lots of bends. Views all the way. From Broni you take the main road back to Casteggio, if windy can be hard. Take a coffee in Casteggio!

Leave your car at Godasco and ride along the SS461 towards Varzi. This is a small market town famous for cheese, wine and salami. Ride out of the town and head towards Passo del Penice. Over the bridge take a right towards Passo del Giova. You will see signs for Cegni and start to climb. Very steep in places but keep on going. Stunning views all the way. Eventually at the top you will arrive at Passo del Giova with Panoramic views all round. Breath the air! You ride along the ridge and descend to Pianostano keep going towards Varzi again. Rough road but fast, fast descent. In varzi head towards Voghera on the SS461 until you reach the car. Tough ride but well worth the effort.

Sesto Calende is on the mouth of Lake Maggiore full of restaurants and cafes. You can park your car here and effectively following the river all the way to Turbigo, where you can divert close to the Ticino River and ride offroad. You will encounter a lot of bikers on this route when you reach Turbigo. Nice scenery, very flat with a nice hill when you get close to Turbigo.
