| A good 'real' XC mountain bike located in South Manchester/Stockport area will easy access from the M60. Some mettelled/road sections but plenty that's not. Park in the small carpark on tiviot way. Good for midweek runs when getting out to the country wastes valuable daylight! It actually has some hills in it which is good for Manchester! Go as far as you want or have time to do then just turn back. Miss out the final tough ascent to the golf course by turning right along the A560 and rejoining the route down Apethorn Lane if you like. It more or less follows the Transpennine trail so is easy to work out where you go next without much map work. | |||||
