| This is probably the shortest route from Los Gatos/ Lexington Reservoir to Scotts Valley that avoids Highway 17. I marked this commute because I've commuted over this a couple of times and I know a guy that did it three days a week. |

| You can get between Santa Cruz an Felton along the Roaring Camp Railroad and completely avoid Graham Hill Road. Technically it's trespassing, but the Roaring Camp people don't seem to mind. Trains must have shallower grades than cars so this is a great way to avoid steep hills on your bike. This is a popular way for many people to travel between Santa Cruz and Felton. Beware of trains, and check the Boardwalk Beach Train at the Roaring Camp website.

| This bike route minimizes distance and elevation gain while also minimizing the use of roads with narrow shoulders. This is a route that even children can take to Henry Cowell from Scotts Valley. http://www.cyclelicio.us/ |

| This is the route via the Alameda and El Camino Real. I've done this a couple of times. It's not really too difficult -- the worst part about it is all the lights along ECR. |
