| 70 mile off road loop from Nottingham to Southwell, then Sherwood Pines, to Newstead, to Eastwood to Ilkeston to the River Trent back to Nottingham. 90% Off Road, Nothing technical mainly bridleways and route 6 sustrans route, plus a bit of Sherwood Pine and Southwell trail. I've ridden this route in 5hours before, in dry conditions but aim for a full day. Can get trains to and from a lot of the route if you want to cut short. Plenty of Cafes on the way. I ride it by mountain bike but can ride on commuter bike so long as it's pretty dry. A few hills but nothing horendous Once you get to Eastwood it's literally downhill all the way! |

| Dukeries Trail Shirebrook to Lincoln
Pretty straightforward and mainly off road route. Crosses the Trent over the Fledborough viaduct. Can be completed as a loop from Nottingham by getting the train to Shirebrook and then the train back from Lincoln, total approx £15.00. Goes through Sherwood Forest then on to the flatlands on Lincs. Fairly well signposted. Wouldnt want to do with a strong easterly wind. |

| Best ridden in the summer as crossing potentially muddy fields. Two short 'footpath' sections. |
