All the roads around this area seem to be quiet once you get out of Merida. We loved the road from Uayalceh (not shown on the google map) to Temozon, it was actually windy and had a few hills. Most of the towns on my map aren't shown on the google map. We basically headed out of town and then followed signs to Dzununcam (even though it wasn't on our map). Despite all this it's very hard to get lost and there are heaps of villages to stock up your supplies at.

Very flat and quite roads throughout. You ride the quietest road in the world (it must be an old Mayan Road) through mangroves (pink flamingo country) and arrive at Cenote Noc Ac to cool down. You can also go into the Mayan ruins at Dzibilchaltun (it has another cenote good for swimming).

This ride can start and finish in Progresso, or as we did from Chixulub. All the roads are exceptionally quiet and you will travel through tiny sleepy fishing villages and inland farming communities and villages. The entire route is a bit over 190kms but as you can see there are numerous ways to make it longer or shorter. All villages will have at least a shop where you can refill your drink bottles, and local helados (icecreams) are delicious.
