| A trip from Tacoma Point Defiance Park area ferry ride to Vashon Island then to town area of Vashon and just riding around the island. I would suggest packing plenty of hydration liquids unless you plant to refill someplace in the town of Vashon. The round trip ferry ticket cost $5.30 total for bike and rider, tickets purchased at the ferry landing office next to the ferry loading ramp, and check the ferry schedules for when ferry will depart the Island. So, this is a good recreational ride with some serious leg exercise areas along the way and a steep exit ride when leaving the island traveling down to the ferry landing. |

| Riding within Tacoma West End area, entering the Tacoma Scott Pierson Trail System, west to Tacoma Narrows Bridge, on 14th NW roadway, then onto Cushman Powerline Trail System, and down the hill to Gig Harbor waterfront. Then the return trip up the hill to Harbor Heights with stop at Grandview Forest Park to get on the north end of Cushman Powerline Trail to head back to Narrows Bridge and Tacoma area. Just riding around.
Note: This bicycle route can update past bicycle routes into Gig Harbor that uses the Old Narrows Bridge pedestrian or bicycle lane which is now closed, so use the New Narrow Bride pedestrian or bicycle path only.
Check the elevations for you own determination of how steep and for what distance. |
