This ride is an excellent weekend ride through the Kansas countryside. It is an easy 50mi. ride with many scenic spots and places to stop for water and food. Who wants to live in the city when you can enjoy rides through the Kansas cornfields.

This ride is a nice 40mi./65km loop around Clinton Lake. You will climb all the big hills if you go clockwise around the loop. You will also probably catch the wind out of the south making it a bit more difficult. If you are feeling up for it, add a loop around Lone Star Lake by turning south on E. 550th Rd. You can minimize traffic by getting out early in the morning. .....Enjoy:)

This is a nice 27mi./45km ride around west Lawrence & Clinton Lake State Park....Traffic is minimal if you get out early in the morning on the weekend. Enjoy:)

This is a nice scenic ride with a few rolling hills to climb. This ride is 46mi/75km round trip. This is probably the safest way to get to Desoto from Lawrence. Many people use Old K-10, but it does have limited shoulders on the road.....Be careful and alert.

This is a good ride around Clinton Lake (approx. 43mi. or 70km) The turnaround is at the corner of 1600th Rd. You can also detour to Bloomington Park for water or food...Enjoy. I would avoid N 1600rd (Douglas County Rd 442) due to high traffic and minimal shoulder.
