Very difficult one day trip, Start at the center of Denver, go west on colfax, take Highway 40 through Evergreen to Highway 103 to Mt Evans, follow the signs to the summit, you will need money to pay for State Park fee, after reaching the Summit head back down to 103 and go west into Idaho Springs, from there follow the bike route back to Denver Via Highway 40 and return to Colfax and the Capitol of the State. Good Luck, leave early in the morning. Best bet are weekends starting early to avoid most of the intown traffic.
