This looks like a good long ~100 mile ride, well marked with hints about restrooms, and absent killer climbs. My only quibble is about the looooong run down San Ramon Valley Blvd, which can be a little boring. I might do it counter clockwise instead, so that stretch is more downhill rather than up.

    Hi Dbrower -

    Thanks for the feedback !
I agree about the San Ramon Valley Blvd. bit, but I'm not too familiar with that area so I stuck with the obvious. At least it takes you to Foothill Rd. which is pleasant.

Another alterative would be to turn west from SRVB onto Crow Canyon Rd. , or onto Bollinger Canyon, which take you to Crow Canyon. Crow Canyon takes you to Castro Valley Blvd. Then you can head east on Castro Valley Blvd., which becomes Dublin Canyon, which takes you to Foothill Rd. A roundabout way of avoiding SRVB. I haven't ridden the Bollinger-Crow Canyon parts myself, though I gather it's a popular cycling route.

Bollinger is not too relevant here, but Crow Cyn to Casto Valley and back adds some big climbs. The one from San Ramon up Crow Canyon can be quite brutal because of the grade -- about .8 mile @ 215w in 5:30, which is hard work.

By way of comparison, the Castro Valley->Dublin climb is about 5 miles and 20:00 at 150w. Just long, not too hard.

Adding the two of these to your trip will add maybe 1000' to your day.

    cheers,
