My price range is between $2000 and $4500, any suggestions Grimzentide?
  2.
    I highly recommend http://www.mtbr.com/.
In the top left-ish corner there is 3 drop down boxes.
Use the top one to select hard-tail dual suspension etc.
A page will load with a list of all bikes.
Click the "price" tag at the top of the column to sort the list.
Go down to your price range and see whats available.
Check out the reviews and see what appears to be the best.
Then test ride your top 5 or so choices. In this price range, the decision could come down to feel alone.

What do u ride?, and what would u suggest for that price range? I'm sick of feeling every bump on my hardtail, and am seriously looking to purchase a dual suspension mountain bike in the not to distance future!

I guess it really depends on the interpretation off all-mountain, to me all mountain means it can be climbed back to the top maybe 2 chainrings/bashie & single crown forks. what kind of trails are you riding?
In saying that I'd recommend anything from the cannondale range maybe a judge/gemini or even a prophet, I've had a custom built rush for nearly 2 seasons & cannont fault its ability, before that I was on a cannondale prophet great bike but far to much suspension to make it a really enjoyalbe climber ever with the platform shock. I had the prophet for mainly 4X style riding & started doing enduros on it but found the rush a little more practical for the purpose.

With a new bike, I would ride more technical terrian, trails like the lysterfield commonwealth games MTB track. Where there are still hills, but there are also tight technical rock sections and fast downhill riding. I want a bike that can do everything! Which would be an All Mountain bike wouldn't it?
