I just saved a new route, and upon clicking the elevation function, it's not giving any elevation information. I checked the 2 routes saved before mine and they have the same issue too.

is it the way we saved the paths? or is elevation just currently down?

Yes the source of the elevation data does go up and down I'm afraid.

    Jules,

If the elevation data isn't there when the info is saved, will it update itself? or will the path just not have elevation data even when the source goes back online?

    It won't update itself.

I do plan to fix that, though.

I have successfully been able to fix the elevation data on an earlier route that I did when the elevation data was down. I exported the .gpx data to my computer and then created a new route by importing that same data. Bingo, my route now had the elevation data! :o) Sure beats entering another copy of the same 104-mile route!

Thanks Jules for the great site!!!!!!!!!

Ah ha. Jules, this might be the answer to my emailed suggestion. I'll keep common route parts in a .gpx file on my PC and just bring it up when needed. I'll go try it now.

    Thanks
