    Hi Bikelyers
I have spent the past hour trawling through the maps to figure this out, then I find this option!
I need a route from Summer Hill to Olympic Park, and back. I plan to be riding out so as to arrive at SOP at 6am on weekday mornings and leave SOP to return home at around 7am.
My criteria, in order of importance, are:
    - directness/speed
    - simple
    - relative lack of traffic and other safety factors
I would love to see any suggestions. Cheers

I was taking the Homebush Bike Bus each Tuesday morning at 7.00am, and found traffic and safety reasonable. You could simply reverse that route from Summer Hill station - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Homebush-to-Sydney-CBD-Bike-Bus.

To get to Olympic Park from Homebush Station (south side), you need to get to Bridge Road. You can cross Parramatta Road at the intersection with Bridge, follow over the pedestrian path into Hillcrest, take the pedestrian bridge over the M4 to the end of Pomeroy, and take any of the streets there to Underwood Road, which will take you to Olympic Park.

As an alternative, I ride from Olympic Park to Ultimo each morning through Queens Road, Five Dock, and Lilyfield Road, which is pretty friendly and reasonably direct. In order to follow this alternative route, you could get from Summer Hill station to Ramsay Road, straight down Sloane - my Underwood Road commute is here - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/10419
