   This route is day 1 of the 4 day Rooty Hill to Mitchell (ACT) tour.
   
   See notes on Rooty Hill Railway Station if arriving at the start by train. (Parking may be available for several cars in my driveway if arriving by car).
   
   Facilities en-route:
   
   - Railway stations at Rooty Hill and then not until Tahmoor.
   - Shops & Hotel at Rooty Hill. General store at Rossmore (200m off the route - see comments), General store & coffee shop at Cobbitty (toilets available - ask at coffee shop), Shops and hotel at The Oaks, Thirlmere & Tahmoor.
   - Bike shops at: Rooty Hill - Eddie Salas Cycles, Shops 5 & 6, 32 Rooty Hill Road North, Rooty Hill, Ph 02 9675 3817; Tahmoor - Phantom Cycles, Shop 1, 147 Remembrance Drive, Tahmoor, ph (02) 4683 1262.
   
   Facilities and Accommodation options in Bargo:
   
   - Railway station
   - Some shops
   - Bargo Hotel - 225 Great Southern Rd, Bargo. Ph (02) 4684 2220 or 4684 1080. 6 Rooms, $50 single/double. Bistro closed Monday nights.
   - Bargo Motor Inn - 3568 Remembrance Dr, Bargo. Ph (02) 4684 3727‎
   - Avon Caravan Village - 79-85 Avon Dam Rd, Bargo - Ph (02) 4684 1026 (1.5 km further down Great Southern Rd/Avon Dam Rd from hotel/station). Note: Close to Railway line & Hume Fwy. A little noisy at night (from experience!)
   
   - Note : Meal options in town very limited on Monday nights. 'Wildfire Pizzas' may be open - Shp2/ 116 -118 Railside Ave (Part of the Caltex Service Station). Ph (02) 4684 3939.
