Need commuting route in Alexandria, VA area

    I live in the Mt. Vernon area of Alexandria and want to commute by bike to a nearby metro station. Ideally, I would like to ride along the George Washington Parkway Trail and cross over to the Huntington Metro Station, though I can't seem to find a good way to get from the trail to Huntington. Does anyone know a good safe route from the GWPW Trail to the Huntington Station...or the Eisenhower or King Street Station...or even Braddock Road?
