Route Needed: Santa Clara to Mountain View

    Hi, I need a route for Bike to Work Day this Thursday. I am going from El Camino and Bowers/Kiely in Santa Clara to San Antonio and El Camino in Mountain View/Palo Alto. I prefer wide bike lines and less traffic, even if it means more stop lights. But I will take any and all route suggestions.

    I have previously only biked from Santa Clara to Milpitas, mostly along the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail, which was great. But unfortunately I need to go in the opposite direction now and I'm unsure which way to take. Homestead and Foothill? Central Expressway? Go up north and do the bay trail from Sunnyvale to Mountain View?
