Leesburg to harpers ferry

    Good route. Fun option #1: Start out on the Washington & Old Dominion Trail from Leesburg to its western end at Purcellville. Then take VA 690 north to Hillsboro to join up with your routing. Fun option #2: After walking around Harper's Ferry, cross footbridge into MD and stay at the hostel: 19123 Sandy Hook Rd, Knoxville MD <hiusa.org>. Then pedal down the C&O canal towpath to White's Ferry and cross back over to VA. Happy trails, DurhamDave.
