Hi All, I have just bought a Garmin Edge 305 and need to know how to export my routes to it. However I am using Vista so does this complicate things!

It can be done but it's a bit "Heath Robinson". So if anyone else out there knows a better way I'd also be happy to hear from them.

Set up a free account on Motion Based at: www.motionbased.com.
Download and install the MB agent widget and register your Garmin.
Use the MB agent to upload your routes from the Garmin to the Motion Based website.
In MB download the route as a GPX
    Import the GPX to Bikely
    Job done!

You can also use Bikley to create routes and transfer these to your Garmin using GPS Babel or Garmin Map Source. I won't go in to detail here but if you look around the forum you'll see that there's currently quite a bit of discussion on this process since Bikely have changed their export format from XML to GPX.

You can also use a utility called GPX2CRS to convert CRS files to GPX files (for uploading your Garmin files to Bikely) or to convert GPX files to CRS files (for downloading Bikely files to your Garmin Edge).

Here is some information on that utility and a link for downloading it.

BTW, I use this utility with Vista and have no problems.

I've had good luck making Garmin Edge 305 courses with TCX_Convertor (from Motionbased forum) if you start with a KML file from Bikely.
