I need a Route from Salem to Portland

    We're riding from Salem to Portland and would like to know which is the best route to take - do we go on the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway to the end and then head to Portland or do we go on the east side of the 5 and head north that way? Any help is appreciated!!

    If you're still looking for your route, here's the one I like: Pratum - Central Howell - Mt Angel - Lone Elder - Canby; east along the north side of the Molalla to Central Point Rd - Oregon City - Milwaukee - Portland. It's very quiet nearly the whole way, if you pick the right streets. It's mapped out, under the title 'Portland to Salem'.
