I'm looking for a bike commuter to join in on this ride. I ride from Raleigh to Durham 2 days a week, but I am flexible on the days.

Your chances might be _slightly_ better if you left folks a way to contact you (not to mention a name). In your profile you can add an e-mail address (or here) or on the route itself there is a "contact author" button, but I think you first have to authorize this. I might try out your route tomorrow, but I am living in Durham, right now, so won't be of much use to you.

Thanks Kevin for your input. This route is mostly a direct route from Raleigh to Durham (shortest I could find). I hope it goes well for you. As far as contact info, I was hoping to get in contact directly through this forum. I'll add some contact info tomorrow.

I assume you are riding from Durham to Raleigh in the morning? Maybe I'll cross paths with you. I have several variations on this route if you're interested.

I followed part of your route home (back to Durham), but was lured off-course by the greenway path that took me up to Umstead Park. The part I did follow, out of downtown, was really nice in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I think I know of the greenway you're talking about, but I don't use it much due to the condition of the Umpstead park trails and the gate that closes at Meridith College. Are you talking about the one off of Dyansty West of Harrison?

I am switching Jobs to one near NCSU in Raleigh, I am looking for a valid road commute that will take me from there to near where this route ends in Durham. Looking to try and commute on my bike as much as I can. Do you think this is the best route or do you have other options? I didn't see the greenway you are talking about...maybe that takes you more towards downtown Durham than I need.

rbran100, sorry for not getting back sooner. This is a very good route, one of the best, although it is somewhat hilly.
