Im Also looking for the route from Princeton, BC to Chain Lake (Jellicoe Station) to Summerland, BC
.. as well as the road alternate.

    Thanks,
    Sam
  1.
I found it already.... direct from Trans Canada Trail. :)
  2.
I did Merritt to Hope along Coldwater Road (Hwy 5a) and the Coquihalla in July last year. Coldwater was great and the Coquihalla wasn't really that bad. Just watch for disappearing shoulders.

Some of the pictures after this one are along the Coq.

I did some of the TCT last summer and was very disappointed. It was frequently so rocky or sandy that you had to go very slowly and couldn't enjoy the scenery because you had to keep your eyes on the trail.

From Tofino the route that looks best to me is up to Hardy then ferry to Bella Coola and down the gravel road to the interior.

Some say the travel on Route 1 is good http://tourbc.net/2008/map.htm
Canada Cycling says: From Hope, the CCA recommends following The Crowsnest Highway #3 though Manning Park and along the south edge of the Okanagan east to Castlegar and hen scoot north on Highway #6 to Revelstoke,
    (from http://www.transcanadahighway.com/general/goingbybicycle.htm )

I guess I'll end up trying each one of them eventually.
