   The list of starting cities is not nearly extensive enough - I am plotting a route on Corsica, but cannot find a suitable "city" upon which to locate it, not even the island's capital, Ajaccio. The only major nearby cities I can find are on the French mainland!

   I agree with the restricted list being a problem. I just chose the nearest city (Sheffield for me, same land mass at least!) and include the actual location in the comments.
   That way at least it will still turn up if someone searches for the actual location.

   in the comments I intend to list a lot of useful nearby locations that make the route show up for people searching nearby cities that are not part of the route
