   This route between Ghent and the river Scheldt is interesting for those who want to tour in the Netherlands. It gets you right to the ferry as you will have to cross the Western Scheldt. More information about crossing the river :

   In general, you may say that in summertime, there are 2 ferries an hour.
   This cycling itinerary gets you out of Ghent, along canals such as the Coupure, the Brugse Vaart / Kanaal Gent-Brugge, the Lievekanaal and the Schipdonkkanaal / Afleidingskanaal van de Leie. The second half of your trip is along small Dutch roads towards Breskens.
