Google Maps API key

    Hi,
    when I try to download a track, I always get the following message:
    "The Google Maps API key used on this web site was registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key for this web site at http://www/google.com/apis/maps"

    Has anyone the same problem?

    No, not on Bikely with a GPX download. I get that message on the test site Mudbikely just by opening the site. What kind of download are doing, GPX or KML?

    Were do I found the downloads?
    I just click on the route link. Then I get the error message.

    That's the same experience I have in Mudbikely, but not in production Bikely. Is this happening in Mudbikely or Bikely for you. I think for now they are finished with user testing in Mudbikely for the time being, so I wouldn't expect it to work anymore.

    I think this problem comes about when you switch between www.bikely.com and mud.bikely.com. Some sort of cookie issue gets Google confused. Switching browsers and wiping cookies fixed it for me, if memory serves.

    Has anyone had any luck fixing or working around the 'api key' error yet? I just found the site today and have not been able to see a map yet. Tried with Firefox and IE7, cleared cookies & re-tried, signed up for bikely & re-tried, switched over to mud.bikely - still no maps, only the same error box with every attempt. Thanks for any tips. - Mike T from NC
