    I take it you need MTB's for this? Could you ride a touring bike on it? And needs a little more description about the Commision Road , is it steep or rough?

    Hi Bob - This is definitely a mtb ride. I guess a sturdy hybrid could do it but not a roadie type tourer. The Great North Road part is very rough and technicaal in places. The Commission road is a good quality firetrail standard. Hope that helps. Give me a buzz if you want more info. We did the ride a couple of weeks ago. It is so pretty and a great workout.
