I ride year round as long as it's above 10 degrees F (~-12 C). I have yet to find something that will keep my fingers warm.

    What do you use?

The experts are here: Ice Bike

I have the Specialized gloves they picture towards the top of the page. I use them down to 32F by themselves, then drop a pair of cheap Target brand polar fleece on top of them to get me into the twentys, then I just stay inside.

    Thanks, SG,

I used Lobster gloves last year (1 + 1 + 1+ 2 fingers). They worked pretty well down to the twentys. Between 10 & 20, though, I still fought it, but at least I wasn't miserable.

Many years ago I purchased some Lectra gloves (see http://www.schooluniforms.com/heated-gloves.html). They warmed up the palm, and the heat was supposed to "radiate" to the fingers, but it didn't really work.

Someone should invent a device that heats up the handlebars. That'd be cool...er, I mean, warm.

Pogies with a couple of chemical warmers tossed in would do that. :)

I use Louis Garneau lobster gloves (2 + 2 fingers). The work well for me, as long as I keep going at a good pace. If I do too much downhill, or stop for a while, then I get cold fingertips.
