I've imported a couple of routes 6 days ago, but bikely still does not show the elevation profile. Has this function been cancelled? The routes are labelled as 'public'. For example http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/zondag-15-juli

Yikes! It sure showed up when I loaded that route, and it nearly gave me heart failure: what a roller coaster! Is the profile still unavailable to you?

Ok, now it does show the profile!
I guess it just took over a week to generate the profile. It was a challeging route indeed :-)

I'm having a similar problem with this route: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Big-hills-along-the-Mohawk. I created the route by hand at least a week ago, and much of the elevation data is still mising. Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, I entered my routes and did not get the elevation profiles. Why not?

Hi gang... I'm finding the same problem when using Firefox... when I fire up my browser, I can only view an elevation profile once. After that, I have to reboot the browser to get another profile.

However, if I use Safari, or Exploder, it works every time.

    Signing off from calgary!

My elevation profile has not come out either - after 5 days.

Disappointing as I wanted to see just how steep the 450m drop was at the end!

I made a map and the elevation profile is 1/2 there... it flat lines at about 1/3 of the way. I'm using FireFox. Here's the map:
    http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Cross-Creek-Latigo-Mulholland-Little-Sycamore-Yorba-PCH

what's going on? How do I get the full profile?

I've been creating a few routes recently, but they've not been saving with an elevation profile, even after repeated re-build requests.

    Any ideas/info appreciated?

I have the same problem (no elevation profile, even after rebuilding request) since last week.

same problem here on multiple routes even after multiple rebuild requests.
is there no site admin type people out there able to comment on what's going on here?

Same problem here. It used to take several minutes to get a profile, but now I get nothing. It has been that way for a couple weeks at least.

I have e-mailed bikely@bikely.com and received an automated out of office until june 9th (I think). Maybe we'll just have to wait it out until then... :-(

I've been waiting over 6 months for my routes in New Zealand to show elevations. Best of luck I suspect the wait will be a long one.

The Rebuild Graph function (24 hour delay) had been working at least for routes in Australia,
but stopped working about a week ago.
I beleive the developer is on leave at for anothet week, and can hopefully restart something that is failing on the server.

No elevation profile on an Australian route that is over 4 weeks old and requested rebuild at least three times.

If this doesnt come good, then bikely loses a lot of its usefulness in a snap.

    Hi everyone

We've just rolled out a fix for the elevation profile problem, which should now be reliable.

For those who are interested, we are now using our own local copy of the SRTM data, rather than getting it from NASA.

SuburbsSpiders, please try using 'rebuild graph' on your routes. I have just partially repeated one of your routes (http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/147586) and the elevation profile is working, so this seems to have fixed the previous problem with New Zealand.

    Cheers
