    Yes, bad. I've done this one and the whole section after the burlington bridge until St Catharines or so is all service roads. They're marked with signs that say "Lakeshore Trail" and there are cars going 80-100km beside you (and looking at you funny). Not to say I haven't seen others riding on those service roads, but I didn't enjoy it.

    Most of the section from Toronto to Burlington is quite good, even though much of the actual lakeshore is coverd by estates instead of park land.

    I'm a wus, so I took a bus back to Toronto, and that worked out well.

    What do you mean "service roads" ?

    Other than the speed factor, is this route fairly safe? I have experience in high traffic situations (Toronto on a daily basis) as well as high-speed routes (80kph highways). That said, I want to make it there alive.

    Also, what bus line did you take that allowed you to store your bike onboard? I know Greyhound and other companies force you to pay extra to ship the bike as "freight".
