I've been using the GPX import/export routines to copy routes, fix elevation data, use GMap2GPX bookmarklet to create routes, etc. I've noticed a few issues that would make things easier.

    1. Multi-Track segments are not imported. As mentioned in the Google Maps new "dynamic routing" good for bicycle routes thread, the GMap2GPX bookmarklet turns driving directions into multi-Track segments. It would be great if the GPX import routine could just join them all together.

    2. GPX Route Export.
Bikely produces GPX Routes, when I think it should be creating GPX Tracks. As Josh, the GMap2GPX developer mentioned:
    From the GPX format documentation:
    * route - an ordered list of waypoints representing a series of turn points leading to a destination.
    * track - an ordered list of points describing a path.

So a Track seems semantically more correct. Would it be possible to change Bikely so it produces GPX Tracks for downloading? Maybe both GPX Route & Tracks, but then it starts getting messy UI wise. The main reason GPX Route's are annoying is because the interesting GPSBabel's Filtering options (like interpolate) are not available for Routes, only Tracks.

    3. Lat/Lon precision (really minor issue).
I've noticed while importing/exporting, modifying, splicing routes etc., that Bikely uses a lot of precision for the Lat/Lon points. This isn't an issue per say, it makes the GPX's bigger, & I imagine the DB & webpages of Bikely slower. Google seems to use 6 digits (eg.140.232095), GPSBabel 9 digits, but I've seen Bikely use 11. I don't know if it is a performance issue, but I think 11 digits is getting down to sub-millimetre accuracy, not sure if Bikely needs to be that accurate!!
    Cheers
