If BikeRadar are serious about developing Bikely it would help to have a summary of all the improvements that people have been asking for. So I thought a new thread was best (but it was ScotGore's idea).

Here's my pick of the frequent requests:

A description/overview of the route so people can work out if it is useful to them

Icons/objects on the map apart from waypoints - eg cafes, rail stations, car parks, accomodation, whatever people feel is appropriate for their interests or needs.

More sensible gradient information - using standardised scales and percentages

Ability to copy routes to start new ones, and reverse direction of a route.

Multiple routes on a map - eg allow a local government to create a map of all their urban routes or allow individuals to compile their own set.

More places named, in some countries we only get the capital city. even in the UK lots of towns are missing.

Email feedback to forum contributors and map makers if they get a comment.

And here's a new one - ability to print a linear commented map of the route at a sensible and readable scale, like the UK Sustrans maps. That could take some programming effort so maybe it's not the priority.

    best wishes
    Chris
