I can't find a way to extend a route by adding points and moving them in the middle of the route. Can anyone help? I do not see the new points added when I insert one. The map always goes back to the start point.

I'll venture a guess that you may not have hit draw. If you have then select a red marker point (the large green marker should appear) and then add a point before or after the selected mark. I've used this feature a lot to create new routes that are derivatives of another.

    I hope that helps.

I am having a similar problem. I click on the pencil and getting green and with the cross out. When no cross out I click to get to the last point. I click on the red balloon. Turns green. Still no matter what I do I don't get new points.

    Any tips?

[1] - you'll get better response on the "The Bikely Focus" Category rather then here on "General Cycling"
[2] - the pencil symbol crossed out or not is a "command" not a "status indicator" (yes, very confusing).
You can draw only when the pencil symbol is crossed out. Click on "the pencil (without X)" to command: "start drawing." When drawing the symbol show a "pencil with X" so that you can command: "stop drawing" by clicking the "pencil with X."
