Hi all, I'm new with GPS, I'm using a Treo700p with a Bluetooth SEIDIO antenna. I use GPSpilot Tracker software to generate a CSV text file where I can generate an altitude chart using Excel. I want to see the corresponding google map route but as I see you are using GPX (XML text file), I wonder if you know of some program to convert CSV to GPX. I just get 3 data columns like this:
    20.118441 -101.185204 2689

    Thanks a lot.

G7toWin is a freeware program that can read/write many GPS data formats, including .gpx. Whether it can handle your .csv format, I don't know, but the price is right. Perhaps it can convert your GPSs native file format.

GPSBabel may also be able to do what you want. It's also a free program and is very capable. I believe it is a command line program but various graphical front ends are available for it.

    Good luck.

Hi ekthor, I presume your data has commas and not spaces between the 3 bits of data. If not, you could be harder as it's not in proper CSV format.
GPSBabel will convert the CSV into GPX for you. GPSBabel's doco on CSV ceonverstion explains that you need a header row that explains what each of the columns are.
If you don't want to download & run GPSBabel, you can access an online version at GPS Visualizer. Hope that helps
