    Hi

I tried to import a route.

    From my Garmin
    Converted to GPX
    imported to Bikely.

However, once in the system The map focuses over the starting point, puts a marker to say starting point (another to say end point as it's a loop) but nothing else - no polyline etc.

I've tried using both IE and Firefox and all other Bikely maps work normally as do the one's I've hand drawn.

    Any suggestions

    Scotty

Can you email me the GPX file (or posted it somewhere I can download it)?

Use the contact page on bikely.com.

Unfortunately the GPX format offers far too much flexibility. I'd be amazed if there was much interoperability at all.

Still, one by one, I can get the major variations importing into Bikely...

I would like to be able to convert some Microsoft Streets and Maps routes to GPX using gpsbabel and import that.. does anyone know if that is possible.

    Hi There...

I have used a tool called GPSBabelGUI.exe that grabs the GPS coordinates straight off a number of GPS devices and softwares, and then exports it into a number of different outputs. One of the outputs is GPX XML and this worked perfect together with bikely.com. Search for Skafto and that shows a ride imported with this tool.

P.S. A Search on google will find a number of places to download the tool from.

Having problems with this as well. Tried importing a GPX file that was exported from MacGPSPro (which in turn was imported from a Garmin Vista Cx). Was only getting the first 17 or 18km of the route.

(The file has been emailed to Jules).

I've done exactly as said above. But when i uploaded the testfile (my Garmin GPS track of a 6 km. trip converted into a GPX XML file), nothing happens. Bikely.com does'nt react at all and only shows a world map (in IE 6.0, because Firefox 1.5.0.2 does not show a map at all).

    I tried two things:
    - extract waypoints from my Garmin Summit with an application like EasyGPS, then save as a .gpx file and then upload this file to Bikely.com. - Does not work, Bikely .com does not react...
    - download a route from Bikely.com (it says: "download as a .GPX file", but when i download the file, i don't see a .gpx extension, but a xml extension ?). And then i don't succeed uploading this file to my GPS device, because EasyGPS can't read xml files. Trying to converse this xml file to a "real" gpx file using GPSBabel doesn't work either, because GPSBabel only reads gpx files, although it says "GPX XML". (are you still there?)

Let the one who knows speak.....
